Holy giveaway entries! I've made the Lady Grey and Beignet and love both of these styles. The next one on my wishlist would be Crepe. (I know, I'm too late to win. Just wanted to leave my two cents!)

  2. mjb says:

I've purchased a few Colette patterns but haven't made one yet. I'd love to try the Crepe, too.

  3. Giulia says:

I'm just starting back to sewing after several years so I've not made any Colette patterns but I follow the blog (& yours) & would love to make Crepe. I'll watch the sew-a-long but can't participate yet. (I'm so appreciate learning anywhere – & so plural of platypus may come in handy some day:)

    Cheers

  4. Alexandra Mason says:

I would love to make the Crepe dress, its lovely!

I haven't managed to make a Colette pattern yet but not for lack of wanting too! The patterns are gorgeous and I think my daughter would look great in the Macaron.
I love Gertie's blog and watched the Lady Grey closely. Even without sewing along I learned a lot.

I would love to make the Cinnamon. But I would also order the the Crepe dress as well. :) As for Gertie's Sew Along, I will surely be following along with interest, since it is definitely on my must-sew (soon!) list!

I am DYING to make Nutmeg – my most recent fascination/fetish is vintage lingerie so Colette's release of her own patterns has had me drooling for months! Contact via email is best – I could so use the pattern to boost me into gear! seshat.darr@gmail.com

  8. katie says:

It is so hard to pick just one pattern–they all look so lovely. I would love to sew the Beignet skirt up in a dark denim or lovely wool. As a novice sewer I could really use the great instructions Colette patterns seem to be known for.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh geez, what Colette patterns DON'T I want to sew!?!?!? I want them all. I am working diligently through the Sencha blouse right now. I actually started the Lady Gray (and thus own that pattern) but found the fitting alterations a bit too advanced for my skills. So I am pairing back to simpler patterns first. I also own Ceylon I am coveting the Beignet,Crepe and Cinnamon patterns too. And yes, I certainly plan to follow the sew along. I have high hopes of achieving success with this pattern and the support of the internet sewing community.

Those interested can track my Sencha progress on my blog, complete with unflattering but hopefully helpful photos. Any advice is appreciated! Check it out below:

i've made parfait, 2.5x, and liked it very much once i did a SBA and muslin bodice. the .5 is a top only version, which i just need to put buttons on to have it be done. jeebus…go..do it! ;)

and a wearable muslin madeleine, to which i made considerable changes…longer inseam, slightly higher rise, less bulk in the booty area, elastic legs instead of drawstring.

Who has enough pretty blouses? I'd love to make a variety of Senchas. First I just have to get my skills up beyond sewing a pair of pajama bottoms…

  12. jessica says:

I refashioned Beignet out of a men's button down shirt … and unfortunately had to send it to a blog reader because it didn't quite fit, but the pattern is lovely and I'm hoping to try again in the future. Otherwise, excited for Gertie's sew-along because Crepe looks lovely and not too complicated! Have also had my eye on Macaroon for the longest time now :-), we'll see …

Sencha, S-E-N-C-H-A, sencha for me. I have been loving this for a long time and have just been doing some refresher work on pattern grading. Would be thrilled to be included. I am unfortunately unable to follow along with Gertie's Crepe sew along right now, too much to do at this time of the year. Maybe in the Spring.

  15. indigorchid says:

I have had Beignet on my pattern wish list for a long time now – I have a feeling it would turn into a staple in my wardrobe! At least five Beignets in different colors with different details and buttons? Wonderful!

    Great giveaway!

Hi! I got the Chantilly and Eclair last Christmas, but still haven't made them up. I got so busy starting my own shop and accessories line that I have barely had any time to sew for myself!

I follow Gertie's blog, but was unable to do the Lady Grey. I would really like to do the Crepe sew-along this time though! Ooh! Me! Me!

  17. Binkydoll says:

I already follow your blog! :)

I have a bunch of the Colette patterns – Beignet, Sencha, Rooibos, Parfait – and am still valiantly making an effort to finish my Lady Grey, so sadly, I won't be doing the Crepe sewalong….but I want the pattern anyway! :D

Exciting!! My crepe pattern arrived yesterday ready for Gertie's sew-a-long, and I still have the Lady Grey un-started in my stash (it's hard to get motivated for coat making when it's heading into lazy summer). But… I did manage to knock out a Macaron (http://lazystitching.wordpress.com/2010/11/10/colette-macaron-muslin-the-labour-day-dress)… oh okay, it was a muslin of a Macaron but that's still progress right?… right?
    :) Alana

  30. viv says:

    Thanks for the giveaway!
I have not yet made any of those, but I'd love to make Sencha and Ceylon.. and maybe Beignet tap pants. And yes, I'm planning to do the sew-along with Gertie!
    http://scr.im/viivi

  31. Octi says:

So far I've only made the Rooibos dress. The pattern was super easy to follow and I love other people's versions of it, and am pretty much okay with what I ended up with. Any and all problems are my own fault, detailed here: http://iamnotanoctopus.blogspot.com/2010/11/olive-rooibos.html

The Beignet pattern is on it's way to me as we speak, although it's finally getting cold here so I might hold out on making that one. I'd like to do Lady Grey next since I missed that sewalong too, and at some point I want to do… well, pretty much all of them. I'm not doing the Crepe sewalong, unfortunately, because my sewing priorities right now are pants and a coat. Too cold for bare legs!

iamnotanoctopus at g mail dot com

  32. Jill/laughbutnotloudy says:

Oooh! I can't wait to make the Crepe dress for Gertie's sew-along. The other Collette patterns are beautiful and I think Ceylon will be next on my list. Or possibly the Parfait. Or maybe Sencha. Who knows — I can never make up my mind. Thanks for the great give-away!

P.S. If I'm lucky enough to win, you can contact me at laughbutnotloudly@yahoo.com

  33. The Wilted Magnolia says:

    I haven't tried any of the patterns…yet… :)

I've always lusted after The Lady Gray jacket of course, like the rest of the platypuses in the world! I can see a whole colony of the creatures tooling about in their lady gray jackets, in bright water repellent colors…since obviously they are gonna get wet!

  34. Huan-Hua says:

I have the Rooibos and Parfait patterns and just bought Crepe to participate in Gertie's sewalong! I haven't yet sewn up any of these yet–I got about halfway through putting together a bodice muslin for Parfait– but I think I'll start with Crepe because it looks so lovely and easy!

  35. Sue says:

I am working on Lady Grey and will do the Crepe dress. I would love the pattern Cinnamon, Sencha and Beignet.

  36. SewMentalMama says:

Following now! I recently made Colette Crepe (lined- as you've seen) and hope to make it in Liberty poplin for Gerties Sewalong. It's great to see women's patterns designed for curves, and I would love to get Macaron next

  37. Thorup says:

I LOVE Colette Patterns, for the patterns and the awesome directions (I actually used them as an example of "good directions" for my students the other day in an English class). I'm making sencha for my mom for christmas after she tried to steal mine from me- I'd love to try some more (Beignet?)

  38. Nat says:

Oooh, I love the Colette patterns. I only found Gertie half way through the Lady Grey, so will save that for another day. I've ordered the Crepe pattern, but may not receive it in time (International Pfffft). Oh, and the Sencha is really cute. Oh, let's get real, I'd kill for any of them. And the time to make them all.

    Love your blog too.

Here's to platypuses (or is it platypi?). I'm an Aussie, so they are one of the coolest mammals!

Natalie (jnbaxter (at) shaw (dot) ca)

  39. Beth Rigby says:

Oh, how exciting! I'm a fan of Colette Patterns, even though I haven't yet made one. I'm eager to make Sencha, but Cinnamon and Nutmeg are also so tempting! I'd love to win!

  40. Suemarie says:

So far, I've only purchased Lady Grey. I'm still padstitching the upper collar. And I did try the free mini bloomers, but they were less than successful for the friend I made them for and are now in a bag destined for Goodwill…

  41. Paolla says:

I love the look of her patterns, although I have never had a chance to see onw myself! Maybe this will me my chance!I really love Ceylon, but I'm also excited for Gertie's sew along… So Crepe would be my choice!

  42. Ginger says:

I've never made any of these patterns but I really want to. I think I'll start with the wrap dress sew a long

  43. lsaspacey says:

Wow, what a great giveaway! I have always lusted after the Chantilly dress (that's the one I want), although I am in the process (a lonnngggg process) of making the Oolong dress for the holidays. Actually, my in-progress photo from months ago is in the Colette Patterns gallery. The Chantilly I would make out of the lightest eyelet in lavender or a pale yellow.

I probably won't be doing the Gertie Sew-along, but I will be following along!

  44. Christine says:

Been following :) And I've made the Crepe dress and Lady Grey so far. I'm about to get started on Roobios (fabric is already all cut out!). I loooove the patterns! They've all turned out terrific and fit so well. Here are links to the two I've made:
    Lady Grey

    Crepe
    http://www.whatsupcupcakeblog.com/2010/10/fo-colette-crepe-dress.html
I probably won't do the Crepe sew along as I've already made the dress, but I will be doing another reincarnation of Crepe because I loved the first one so much. Just waiting for the right fabric to call out to me. You can reach me via my craftycupcakeblog@gmail.com

  45. MJ says:

I have purchased my Crepe pattern & Innocent Crush voile fabric for Gertie's sewalong!! It's my first Colette pattern, but I love them all – I mostly sew for my kids so i'm very much looking forward to the sewalong!!

  46. julie says:

Count me in, please! I haven't made any of the Colette patterns yet but I just purchased the Crepe for Gertie's Sew-along. I'd also like to make approximately 12 versions of Sencha.

  47. SewLindaAnn says:

I have seen the Sencha done in blogland for a long time and would love the chance to make it. The new pattern Crepe and Lady Grey look wonderful too and are on my "love to have" list. I'm new to garment sewing and am just coming to grips with what my body form "really" is as opposed to my imaginary bod from 20 years ago! Luckily, they have a size 18 for us less than new type women. I am a follower.

  48. amaydak says:

Please pick me, Collette patterns are so great!!! I'm finishing up the lady grey sew along at the moment, currently working on the pad stitching ( I really, really wish I had more time to sew!). I've also made the sencha, which I get compliments on every time I wear. I own the Rooibos pattern, but haven't made it yet. I will soon, though, that dress would be great made in wool!

Crepe, Cinnamon, Oolong, Nutmeg, Parfait, and Beignet are all on my wish/christmas list. I love Collette Patterns! The direction are wonderful and easy to follow. They're so easy, I don't have to do nearly the adjustments I end up doing the patterns from large manufactures. Thanks for offering this amazing giveaway!

  49. Gaidig says:

I really love Collette Patterns, and I am trying to give myself an excuse to join in Gertie's Crepe sew-along eve though I am feeling guilty about buying things while unemployed and in possession of unused stash patterns. As much as I liked the Crepe before, your post made me really excited about making one. I even posted Monday about potential fabric choices. Other Collette patterns I have had my sights are Parfait, Chantilly, Ceylon, Lady Grey, Sencha and Cinnamon. The only pattern I have made so far from Collette is Madeline, which came out great! Platypus!

  50. cluttershop says:

I am going to try to do the Gertie Crepe dress sew along. I've got
a Sencha blouse in progress (put away because fabric proved tricky), and I abandoned the Lady Grey Sew Along, too scared after seeing all the muslin fitting discussions & pictures. I would love to try the slip pattern, though, and quite sure I'll finish my Sencha soon & Lady Grey in the future. The patterns are lovely.

  51. ninaluna99 says:

I want to make all of them, but I'm scared! I bought the pattern for Gertie's sew-a-long, so please pressure me into it. :)

    Love the blog, thanks!

  52. Vickles says:

Oh I've been oggling Macaron for ages. And Beignet… and Lady Grey. They are on my Christmas list, so hopefully I'll get to make some soon!

  53. Unfurled says:

I'd like to try Macaron, I think. Do I have to decide?

  54. Ann says:

I haven't made one yet, but I'm going to do the Crepe sew-along. I would love to win Beignet!! I actually bought it a while ago but tragically, accidentally, cut too small a size so I need a new one so I can start over….(this time I will trace, not cut!)

    argarg27 at hotmail dot com

  55. Trisha says:

I am currently working on the Macaron, so I don't have pictures to share yet. I would love to try the Sencha next.

  56. gMarie says:

I made the Beignet and I actually wore it in public last Friday and posted photos on my blog. I really like this pattern and plan to make more. I am waiting with baited breathe for your fitting post. What would I make? Crepe. Lovely dress. g

  57. anne-sophie lahme helmer says:

I would love to try the new Crepe Pattern!

  58. J.A. Gough says:

I loved making up the Sencha blouse in 4ply silk, and I have some other fabrics waiting to be made into more of them. I would love to make the Lady Grey coat (the pattern is sitting at home, waiting for the perfect fabric). I would love to own the Macaron pattern- I love sewing pretty dresses!

  59. LAP says:

Oh Colette patterns, I dream of you! I already have Crepe and Sencha on the ready, so I'd have to say I've always wanted to see how Eclair fits in spite of my bustiness. That or Macaron. Pretty dress! Pretty dress!

Oooooh! I'm like Faye- in the midst of my first Colette – the Lady Grey from the sew-along. I am so excited that I got the sleeves attached last night- now on to the collar!

I am loving the looks of the Crepe pattern and the Sencha. And my husband is really looking forward to the men's shirt (though he doesn't know it yet:)).

I shop in a little mom and pop fabric store in Berkeley, where they only sell indie patterns. I always flip through the Colette patterns and want to purchase them, to make some thing for my daughter, BUT now that I have seen the new Crepe pattern, I really want that one for myself. :)

  63. Anonymous says:

I have not purchased a Colette pattern yet but I have been coveting them for a while. I very very much want to participate in the Gertie's sewalong of the Crepe dress. Your entry about the Crepe really convinced me that this dress will work for me. So if I win, that's what I want and I'll just start the sewalong late. So very generous of you and Colette to be doing this giveaway!!!

Google Account doesn't seem to be working as an option, so just in case I'm luckym my email address is sremijan (at) stratag (dot) com

Wow, sweetest giveaway in a *long* time! I own two Colette patterns (Lady Grey and Ceylon). If I were to win a third, I would probably give in to the Crepe, inspired by your lovely version. Sadly my Lady Grey is stalled although I'm thinking about getting back to it now that my daughter's coat is finished. Once my fingertips recover from all that hand-sewing, anyway :)

  65. jkubenka says:

I bought the Lady Grey coat pattern intending to do the sew-along with Gertie, but then life and traveling over 5000 miles by car through the continental US and Canada overtook October for me.

I have purchased the Crepe pattern, but it has not arrived yet.

Other than that, I think I would like the Sencha blouse pattern or the Ceylon dress pattern, as both of those are perfect for Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekend!

    Since I don't own a public blog, I can't link you to anything. :(

  66. karyncecele says:

Oooh! A Colette pattern. I love them all. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I've made Sencha and have Beignet. I'm planning to participate in Gertie's Crepe sew-a-long.

  67. Psycho Sue- Sew Misunderstood says:

i don't have any collete patterns. I think I would like the Ceylon dress. I would have to really re-size it up.

  68. Stray says:

I've followed since the Lady Gray (that I watched from the sidelines) I'd like to join in for the Crepe:)
As I have never made a Colette pattern Here is a link to the best platypus ever :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKUAtMT_g_I

Let's see…I've made the sencha, rooibos, and the lady grey with gertie's last sew along (http://www.flickr.com/photos/29494829@N04/5155681597/in/pool-1520791@N23). I had some fitting issues with the sencha that i never completely resolved, but other than that, I love these patterns. I also have the ceylon and the parfait in my stash. I'd love to get the crepe to participate in gertie's current sew along!

I have the Crepe, Oolong and Roobios patterns but haven't made them yet. I just bought fabric so I can join in Gertie's Crepe sew-along. Just the kick in the pants I needed to stop thumbing through these gorgeous patterns and start sewing them! thelovelynest at gmail dot com

  71. Andrea says:

I own Lady Grey, Macaroon and Rooibos but I bought them before I accepted that straight skirts are not my friend. I've started a muslin for Lady Grey. I'm DYING for Crepe. andrea at gideonfamily dot org

  72. Tilly says:

Woooo! Great giveaway! I have made:

    - Sencha (but not very well so I'll spare you the picture of that one)
    - Ceylon – http://bit.ly/ceMQNF
    - Beignet – http://bit.ly/auGsbC

If I were to win, I think I'd be bold and try Oolong, as it'd be a learning curve for me (lightweight silky fabrics, bias cut…) and I haven't seen that many of them made up.

  73. Bridget says:

I've been following you for a bout a month now and I can fully understand your love of Colette. I own Macaroon and Rooibos but I'm almost afraid to cut into them as the are so lovely as they are (that is unlikely to stop me for long). I'd love to try Crepe and also Lady Gray, and almost every pattern they make really.

  74. Debi says:

This is great! I don't own any colette patterns as there are so many vintage patterns I would like to sew but this just may be the thing to get me on the colette bandwagon. I would love to sew up the ceylon dress after seeing Casey's amazing version!

  75. Denise says:

Silly girl. I do follow you. Already. I'd love to make the Crepe. And I'd love to do Gertie's sew-along.

  76. jaimesews says:

As you know, I'm still working on Lady Grey. I'd LOVE to have Crepe…dreaming and wishing… :)

  77. jaimesews says:

    I follow you of course!

  78. Angela says:

I'm still working on the Lady Grey and I have the Sencha pattern, too. I love all her patterns!! They're just gorgeous!

  79. Joy says:

Although I haven't made any of their patterns, I'm intrigued by their styles – fun and unique. I think the crepe wrap dress is my favorite – it looks universally flattering.

  80. Angelina S. says:

I just bought my first colette pattern to participate in Gertie's dress sew along. I am so excited! I followed along with her Lady Grey sew along and really enjoyed it. I'm a beginner so I didn't sew the coat, but all the posts were very interesting. I can't wait to start on the Crepe dress! The instructions are so clear; it's wonderful! I'm really excited to hear that there may be a few more beginner patterns in the line. If the Crepe goes well I think I'll try Rooibos next. Such a pretty dress. Thanks for the chance to win!

I've made Beignet (http://kellylearnstosew.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/voila-le-beignet/)–my favorite pattern I've used! I really want to make Ceylon: I love the shirtdress look. If I had more money, I'd get Sencha and Crepe too!

I would love to make Sencha – No. 1007 in RED to go with my leopard pencil skirt that I am about to make. All of the patterns are nice, actually.

  83. Daisy says:

Great giveaway! I would love to make the Crepe dress; it's a beautiful style that would flatter most figures.

  84. Evie says:

I want to enter! I just stumbled upon Colette Patterns really recently and haven't had a chance to use any of them. I really like Sencha, Chantilly and Ceylon, but what I'd really like to try out is the Lady Grey coat. After seeing everyone's versions for the sew-along with Gertie it's really made me want one for myself. It looks like such a great, classic pattern!

graham.evie@gmail.com is the quickest way to reach me.

  85. Elle says:

I want to enter, too! Looking back, I've made 3 of the patterns: Sencha, Rooibos (http://itsasewinglife.blogspot.com/2010/03/rooibos-dress-finished.html) and the Lady Grey (well, it's almost finished… 2 snaps to go). And I've bought the Macaron and started a muslin but then, well, life got in the way, and it got pushed to the back burner. I love the Crepe, but I don't think I'm doing the sew along.

Hmmm, got a little bloggy. Oops. I'm at ellenbehm (at) gmail dot com.

  86. Laurwyn says:

    I enter! I enter! I enter!

I haven't made any pattern yet but have been drooling for a while. I have ordered the Crepe (for the sew along with Gertie) and the Macaron (for a classy Christmas outfit). As for the future, I would love to give a try to the Rooibos (great basic), the Ceylon (classy), the Beignet (compromise between pencil and A line).

So yeay for giveaways! Especially coupled with Harry Potter! I have my ticket for tomorrow's screening in an IMAX cinema! I cannot wait!

  87. Faye Lewis says:

Wow! Can't believe I get to be first. I'm currently working on the Lady Grey coat from Gertie's Sewalong (hope that counts). I am quite impressed with Colette Patterns, although this one has presented quite a challenge for me. I have; however, grown in the process. Here is a link to my blog to show my almost completed project, http://fayessewingadventure.blogspot.com/. I've been admiring the Sencha blouse pattern after seeing so many successes on other blogs. Since I'm still involved with the coat project I didn't join Gertie's current sewalong. Should I be chosen, I can be contacted at fayedollatcoxdotcom. Thanks!

  88. The Hojnackes says:

I've been drooling over the Ceylon, Beignet, Lady Grey, and Crepe patterns. I really want the Crepe so I can do Gertie's sewalong. I could really use a dress that fits!

  89. mdmaybe says:

Let's see, I've purchased Sencha, Beignet, Lady Grey, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Chantilly and Parfait. Clearly, I have a problem. I would, however, still like to try Crepe which is a lovely wrap dress.
